Privacy notice · Updated 17 September 2026

Use the minimum. Explain the purpose.

This notice explains the public website boundary, the information used to respond to enquiries and the choices available to visitors.

Contact Spectra

In brief

The marketing website and future SaaS application have separate data boundaries.

Public pages never require access to tenant data. Enquiries are stored in a dedicated website database with limited access, defined retention and a published privacy contact.

01

Controller

Tech Geek UK Ltd controls this website.

Spectra is operated by Tech Geek UK Ltd, company number 09834597. The registered office is Rourke House, Kingsbury Crescent, Watermans Business Park, Staines-upon-Thames, England, TW18 3BA. The company is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZA511007.

  • Privacy contact: karan@techgeekuk.com
  • Companies House and ICO source links are on the company-information page
  • This notice applies to the public Spectra website, not a future customer SaaS agreement
02

Website visits

Security data is limited to operating the service.

Cloudflare may process an IP address, request path, browser and device information, security signals and timestamps to deliver and protect the website. Spectra does not currently load advertising, Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity. Essential browser storage remembers only whether the manufacturing introduction has already run in the current session.

  • Purpose: delivery, security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis
  • Basis: legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service
  • Ordinary application logs avoid enquiry names, emails and message content
03

Browser-local tools

Worksheet values stay in the current browser.

The free calculators, planners and brief builders do not send entered job values or artwork to Spectra. Printing and CSV generation happen on the device. Reset a tool before leaving a shared computer.

04

Enquiries and research interest

A receipt means the message was stored.

The enquiry service stores the name, work email, company, optional phone, message, enquiry source, response consent, optional marketing choice and technical deduplication fields in a dedicated Cloudflare D1 database. A hashed network address is held briefly for rate limiting; the raw address is not written into the enquiry table. Registering research interest lets Spectra respond about possible voluntary participation; it is not consent to publish, quote or identify a person or business.

  • Pre-contract steps, responding to your request or following up a research-interest request are the primary purposes
  • Optional product updates rely on consent and are separate from the response request
  • Enquiry records are reviewed for deletion after 24 months unless an active relationship, legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention
  • Rate-limit records are operational data and are periodically cleared
  • Access is limited to authorised Tech Geek UK personnel
05

Processors and locations

The public site uses a deliberately small supplier set.

Cloudflare hosts the website, provides the D1 enquiry database, security controls and operational logs. GitHub stores source code and deployment history but is not intended to receive form submissions. Processing may occur outside the UK under each provider's contractual safeguards; no UK-only data-residency promise is made.

06

Your rights

Ask, correct, object or delete.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to certain processing, or withdraw optional marketing consent. Email karan@techgeekuk.com with enough detail to identify the relevant enquiry. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
