The practical answer
No original industry results are available yet. The immediate evidence is the published research protocol; findings will be added only after genuine participation, disclosed methodology and a reviewable aggregate dataset.

Spectra has not completed an original industry study and does not publish invented percentages, rankings or operator quotes. This page establishes the questions and evidence standard so future findings can be evaluated rather than merely repeated.
Research questions
Study where sign-job context is lost.
The first programme will examine how UK signage businesses move information between enquiry, survey, estimating, proof, production, installation and invoice review.
- Which hand-offs create the most re-keying or clarification?
- Which job facts most often arrive too late?
- How is proof approval evidenced?
- Where do material, access and variation exceptions become invisible?
- Which measurements would show a safer or faster hand-off?
Method
Publish the sample before publishing the headline.
The intended method combines a short operator survey with structured interviews and anonymised workflow mapping. Participation must be voluntary, questions must avoid unnecessary personal or customer data, and respondents must be told how their contribution will be used.
- Disclose recruitment route and fieldwork dates
- Publish usable response count and relevant business profile
- Separate survey response from product telemetry
- Explain exclusions, missing data and limitations
- Never identify a respondent without explicit permission
Release standard
Every finding needs enough context to challenge it.
A future report will include the instrument, sample, calculation method, limitations, review date and a downloadable aggregate table where disclosure risk allows. Until then, the site will describe the programme as planned and the baseline as unavailable.
