Estimating and quoting
Price the sign. Keep the thinking.
A connected quoting workflow for sign businesses—designed to keep the brief, survey, review and downstream job context together.

What is sign estimating and quoting software?
It helps a sign business turn a real production brief into a reviewable price, using relevant materials, labour, waste, machine and installation inputs. Spectra currently demonstrates the connected review flow; production calculation rules remain subject to application verification.
The job context
Start from what the sign actually needs.
Spectra’s demonstrated local sample flow keeps the brief, survey information and quote review within the same job context. It does not claim a production pricing engine.
Fictional NQC-014 is an illuminated fascia: the supplied width, access window and component specification are separately marked as supplied, open and pending. The estimate cannot become a manufacturing instruction until those conditions are resolved.
- Customer and site brief
- Survey measurements and access notes
- Reviewable quote lines
- Revision state connected to the job
Truth before automation
A quote still needs a person who understands the work.
Materials, waste, labour, machine time, installation and margin are core estimating inputs in this industry. Those calculation rules must be verified in the SaaS application before the website describes them as implemented.
| Capability | Website evidence | Publication state |
|---|---|---|
| Connected quote review | Sample workspace | Demonstrated locally |
| Deterministic calculations | Application evidence required | Not claimed |
| Accounting sync | Provider access required | Access dependent |
Worked route
Revise the quote, then release the right record.
For fictional NQC-014, Q-014-R1 contains material, waste, workshop, component and installation allowances as illustrative inputs. A later access change creates Q-014-R2 and proof V03; the sample flow shows the reviewable record, while calculation rules and acceptance controls remain application-dependent.
| Input | Owner | Output | State |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brief + survey | Estimator | Q-014-R1 | Demonstrated locally |
| Access change | Coordinator | Q-014-R2 / V03 | Process example |
| Production calculation | Application | Verified rule set | Not claimed |
